Dog grooming salon

One dog. One reserved time slot.

Professional coat care in the peaceful surroundings of the Beskydy Mountains. Every cut starts with a bath and a thorough blow-dry – only then do we cut. That's why we groom no more than two dogs a day.

Bring your dog in the morning and pick them up whenever it suits you, by 6 pm at the latest. Before and after grooming your dog waits for you in their own room, calm and clean – not in a cage next to the dryer. When they're ready, we'll send you a photo via WhatsApp or text message.

We groom Poodles, Maltipoos, Cavapoos, Cockapoos, Labradoodles, Bichons, Bolognese, Yorkies, Shih Tzus and Lagottos, among others. We also de-shed large breeds with a thick undercoat, such as St Bernards or German Shepherds.

How will we treat your dog?

We reserve all the time your dog needs.

A good cut can't be done on an unwashed coat or in a hurry. That's why we first bathe, blow-dry and brush out your dog, and only then do we cut. A complete groom usually takes two to three hours.

We don't work on a conveyor belt. There's only ever one dog in the salon, no queue of other dogs. We adapt our care to the coat type, the dog's character and how they're feeling on the day.

„A big thank you! We came for dental hygiene including a full bath, brush-out and trim... It was her first time at the dental hygiene and in the salon, and she isn't too keen on these 'wellness' treatments anyway. The whole treatment took almost 4 hours, so I was curious how she'd cope. And her reaction was the best feedback for me. Even after all those hours she was still cuddling with the owners, and it was clear the treatment had been done really professionally while respecting her needs. Thank you so much for the wonderful care and approach.“

„We were very happy with the resort. We had two dogs staying there at the beginning of September this year, when the resort was still being finished, but you can still see that they really think about the dogs and that the owners care for them with love ... great communication the whole time the dogs were staying there ... the owners even sent us photos, which we were really glad about ... next time we go on holiday I'll happily leave them there again without any worries“

Can a puppy, an anxious dog or a senior dog cope?

Yes. We go at the dog's pace and adapt the extent of grooming to what they can manage.

Jarda getting to know a French Bulldog puppy

Puppy introduction visit

Once the basic vaccinations are complete, come for a short introductory visit: a bath, blow-dry, nails and, above all, getting used to the salon. A good first experience is the basis for all future grooming.

Anxious dogs

No rush and no other dogs around. We give your dog time to settle in, take breaks, and by arrangement we can split a longer session into two visits.

Senior dogs

Gentle handling that's kind to the joints, a comfortable position and breaks as needed. We always adapt the extent of grooming to the dog's condition.

The price of an introduction visit depends on the breed – we'll tell you when you book.

What do we do for your dog?

Professional grooming is more than a haircut. Bathing, blow-drying and brushing are the basis of every visit, not extras.

What a complete groom includes

  • Tidying paws, pads and hygiene areas
  • Nail clipping
  • Ear cleaning and eye care
  • Checking skin, ears and teeth – if we notice anything, we'll tell you

A badly matted coat or a dog that resists grooming means extra work. Prices for extra work

Why isn't a wiry coat clipped?

Terriers, Schnauzers, Wire-haired Dachshunds and other wire-coated breeds have two layers of coat: a hard outer coat on top and a soft undercoat beneath. The outer coat works like a natural raincoat. It's water-repellent, protects the dog from rain, cold and dirt, and gives the coat its typical colour and texture. The undercoat alone doesn't keep water out and quickly gets soaked.

Miniature Schnauzer, a breed that is hand-stripped

These breeds don't shed naturally. Dead hair doesn't fall out on its own – it stays in the skin and can itch and irritate. Hand stripping removes it by hand, including the root, making room for new, healthy hair.

Clipping destroys this protection. That's why we hand-strip these dogs.

Why hand-strip rather than clip?Show

Scissoring or clipping only shortens the outer guard hair – the dead root stays in the skin and the hair follicles remain blocked. A clipped coat gradually becomes soft and pale, and the undercoat takes over. The dog loses its natural protection: the coat soaks up water and after a walk in the rain the dog is wet right down to the skin. Once the guard coat is ruined, it takes a long time to recover and sometimes never fully does. Hand stripping removes the dead hairs by hand, so new, firm, water-repellent hair grows in their place.

Which breeds is hand stripping suitable for?Show

For dogs with a harsh or wiry coat, for example Schnauzers, Wire-haired Dachshunds, Border Terriers, Westies, Cairn Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, Welsh Terriers, Airedales, Irish, Norfolk, Norwich and Lakeland Terriers, Jack and Parson Russell Terriers with the right coat type, Griffons or German Wire-haired Pointers. Not sure whether your dog needs hand stripping? Send us a photo and we'll advise you.

How does hand stripping work?Show

We remove the dead hair by hand or with a stripping knife, gradually over the whole body. Mature hair is only loosely held in the skin, so properly done hand stripping doesn't hurt. We work calmly and take breaks. Afterwards we bathe your dog with a special shampoo for the coat and skin after stripping (for example with CBD), blow-dry and finish the details. Please don't bathe your dog for at least 3 weeks before hand stripping – a clean coat is harder to strip.

How often should a dog be hand-stripped?Show

Usually about once every 3 months, depending on the breed and how fast the coat grows. In between, regular brushing is enough.
